Ordinals Inscription #0 (Casey Rodarmor's pre-launch skull)

Ordinals Inscription #0 (Casey Rodarmor's pre-launch skull)

Inscription #0 in ord's sequential numbering: the first satoshi ever inscribed, made about five weeks before the Ordinals launch by its creator Casey Rodarmor as a test. It marks where one era of on-chain data gives way to another — earlier techniques wrote into the transaction body, while inscriptions hide data in the witness. A common confusion is worth avoiding: this is the first inscription *made*, not the lowest satoshi number ever inscribed. Ordinal theory numbers satoshis by when they were mined, independently of when anyone inscribed them, and the satoshi used here sits roughly 60% through Bitcoin's total supply — a late number, not a rare one.
